Join us in celebrating 1 year at the Bothwell Arts Center's Downtown Art Studios ! Saturday, November 12 11am - 4pm 62 So L Street, Livermore, CA In November of 2010, the Bothwell Art Center’s Downtown Art Studios first opened its doors to the public, after renovating an abandoned liquor store and turning it into working space for artists. On Saturday, 12 artists invite the public in to celebrate, ask questions about their processes, and share some refreshments. The work done at the stud ios is as varied as the artists themselves, from animal-shaped textile work in colorful fabric, to collage, multimedia and wildly colorful abstracted landscapes, as well as figurative abstraction – some with a psychedelic flair, graffiti-inspired works, animal portraiture, and works by some artists new to the scene, bringing a delightful sense of freshness of voice to the mix .
