Future Studio




















One year ago today I was participating in East Bay Open Studios. 
Just a few short months later, in the midst of house hunting, I attended Sac Open Studios as a tourist. 

 I made the scary decision to show in this year's event, despite the fact that I know very few people in my new city... so come visit me and see what's up!

Today, with the help of some wonderful friends, my awesome husband and I are building a studio in the backyard. Keep your fingers crossed it will be done in time, and follow my stories on Instagram for construction updates.

I walked into the studio today. It’s become a bit of a storage unit lately. I need to stop that habit  🤦‍♀️ A friend texted me this morning, asking an art related question & I had to look through my books to spell someone’s name  😆  but it forced me into the studio! It’s 2025. It’s been a tough 6 months since I moved my mom in with me & became a full time dementia caregiver. I’ve had no time, let alone drive, to create, but I decided I would make myself try once we got through the holidays. Today I picked up a paintbrush for the first time in 9 months. It doesn’t look good, but it feels good. Here’s to carving out time & making it a habit again in 2025.
